Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) for a full-time, school-based position in Tavares, Florida for the 20252026 school year. This role offers the opportunity to provide vital physical therapy services to students in an educational environment, helping them achieve greater independence and success both in and out of the classroom.
About the Role
The Physical Therapist will work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to design and implement therapy plans that promote motor development, functional mobility, and physical well-being. You will play an essential role in evaluating student needs, providing therapy, and contributing to individualized education plans (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities

Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy programs aligned with IEP goals

Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to students

Support staff and parents with adaptive equipment and classroom accessibility strategies

Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and compliance records

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective student progress
Qualifications

Active Florida Physical Therapy License (required)

Experience in school-based or pediatric therapy preferred

Understanding of IDEA and IEP implementation

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
